The American Council of Engineering Companies’ Developing Leaders Group (DLG) hosted “The Business of Golf” last Tuesday (June 9th, 2015) to provide golfing practice and instructions to developing leaders in our industry. With the first day of summer fast approaching, there is a lineup of corporate golf tournaments and networking events to prepare for that made this event the perfect practice opportunity. OCI’s own Laura Ruppert and Ann Bryant attended the event to practice their swings and learn from golfing pros.
Players learned the ins and outs of playing a round of golf for business purposes, including etiquette unique to business golf and the benefits of golfing with colleagues and clients. Laura and Ann freshened up their driving, chipping and putting techniques with the help of local golf professionals. They practiced their new found skills by playing a round of golf on the 9-hole executive course at the Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle.
