Tarelle Osborn, Entrepreneur of the Year

Tarelle Osborn, President and Founder of OCI, was recently named the 2016 Civil Engineering Entrepreneur of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the 2016 ASCE National Convention in Portland, Oregon!

The award was established by the ASCE Committee on Leadership and Management to recognize entrepreneurs who create successful private-sector organizations that employ civil engineers and/or expand the civil engineering horizon.

Tarelle was nominated for her outstanding commitment to the company and to the civil engineering profession. In 2004, Tarelle Osborn left her job at a midsize engineering firm to start Osborn Consulting, Inc.  She envisioned a work environment that matched her own personal values, which are now ingrained throughout the company as our Core Values. Today, OCI employs 20 people – 65% of which are women, well above the industry average of 15%. Tarelle has created a place of opportunity for anyone who is as passionate about engineering and serving clients in addition to prioritizing their families and hobbies.

Congratulations to Tarelle on this well-deserved recognition!
