This year gave us time to learn and grow together, deliver practical and creative solutions, build relationships, and give back to our community. Some highlights include:
For the second year, we have had the immense joy of funding the Osborn Consulting Scholarship for BIPOC engineering and/or landscape architecture students. We had the pleasure of meeting WSU structural engineering senior, Cesar Bedolla-Hurtado in our Spokane office this fall. As the deserving recipient of our annual scholarship, it was inspiring to hear Cesar’s story and his goals for his future career in the industry. Congratulations and best of luck, Cesar!
We are proud of the legacy Cesar and other BIPOC students will leave behind, with a little help from our scholarship fund. Look forward to news about our 2023 scholarship soon!
It’s no surprise that many of us at Osborn Consulting have been missing opportunities to connect with each other and our teaming partners in person over the last few years. This year, we found opportunities to get back together at conferences, such as the APWA-WA Fall Conference, where we hosted a full house at our Spokane office happy hour, as well as company picnics and parties. We were also finally able to host an open house in our new-ish Bellingham space (office opened in 2020). Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! We look forward to more in-person connections in 2023.
Getting outside and cleaning up the Spokane River, planting with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association, and restoring creeks with the Lands Council were a few of the ways our team chose to volunteer their time this year. We plan and design restoration work for our day jobs, but being able to put our hands and shovels into the dirt and make a difference in the natural environment is so rewarding! Thank you to all our team members who found time to give back this year.
