We encourage you to join us in supporting these vital causes by donating to your local food bank or one of the organizations below:
For the fourth time, the Puget Sound Business Journal has named Osborn Consulting to its Washington’s Best Workplaces list, ranking it #8 in the medium companies category. This prestigious list honors the exceptional businesses that set the standard for workplace excellence in Washington State.
Across our practice groups, Osborn Consulting employs 30 licensed professional engineers and more than 20 engineers in training. And today we’re all celebrating something special – the ninth annual Professional Engineers Day. It’s an occasion that raises awareness about what it means to be a professional engineer and to show appreciation for the work they do each and every day.
It’s a Thursday afternoon in Vancouver, the second official day of the APWA Washington Chapter Spring Conference, and a crowd is gathering in the Spruce Room. Spring is here and along with the growing flowers Osborn has been doing some growing as well. In these past few months alone, we have had the delight of adding ten new talented, passionate, and creative people to our team.
Each time we have the pleasure of adding a new team member, they bring with them their own unique skillset and Osborn grows in our technical and operational capabilities. Take some time to get to know them and find out who helped build a house from scratch, who is a nature photographer, and who makes pottery in their spare time.
April showers bring May flowers and May flowers make Landscape Architects happy. Speaking of which, Osborn is celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month this year by getting to know two of our talented Landscape Designers, Matt Olszewski and Lauren Iversen, PLA. We sat down with Matt and Lauren to learn more about what draws them to the profession and what they are working on these days.
The purpose of this scholarship is to eradicate the historic barriers that have prevented BIPOC individuals from accessing these professions throughout the history of the United States. Our scholarship founders strongly believe that the design challenges faced by the AEC industry in modern times can only be solved by a diverse set of voices and perspectives. We are excited to witness the practical and creative design solutions scholarship recipients will create in the future!
Each time we have the pleasure of adding a new team member, they bring with them their own unique skillset and Osborn grows in our technical and operational capabilities. Take some time to get to know them and find out who got bit in the head by a shark, who is a triathlete, and who plays ice hockey in their free time!
It is once again that time of year – the air has gotten colder, the days have gotten shorter, and fast approaching holidays mark the beginning of the season of giving. After a year full of designing practical and creative solutions for our local communities, we are thankful for the opportunity to give back in another way.
We are proud to announce the launch our Alternative Delivery Practice! This new practice leverages the in-house passion and experience of Practice Lead Kelsie Jeppesen and other highly skilled team members to focus on the unique challenges and opportunities that come with alternative delivery.
It’s National Playground Safety Week – a time to reflect on our own fond memories and the joy as adults watching children burst with excitement as they climb, explore, and engage with other children – completely unaware of how essential the experience is to their own personal growth.
