We have grown another year older and another year wiser, but that’s not all that has grown; since last year, we have added eight new talented, passionate, and creative people to our team. Growing us from a firm of 90 to now a firm of almost 100 amazing people!
Each time we have the pleasure of adding a new team member, they bring with them their own unique skillset and Osborn grows in our technical and operational capabilities. If you haven’t already had the pleasure of working with these groovy people, please join us in taking a moment to get to know them better:
In early December, we welcomed Brennan Helwig as our first fisheries biologist in the Bellevue office and Mike Mecham as a CADD technician working out of our Spokane office. Brennan has a passion for all things fish, and on one of his diving adventures, he got bit in the head by a shark (don’t worry he’s fine). Mike is a WSU graduate and he used to work as an architectural drafter before switching over to a civil design focused role. He loves exploring and growing in what he can do!
In mid-December, Tom Hutchison, EIT, joined our Bellevue office as our newest project engineer and Isaac Huben came on board as our technical editor. Tom has 4 years of experience in river restoration projects in the pacific northwest. In his spare time, Tom enjoys competing in triathlons! Isaac is a word wizard; he has a passion for languages and loves to see how words flow together. He is also a world traveler and loves capturing photos of all his travels.
In early January, we welcomed Jeffrey Lorch to our Bellevue office as a CADD technician. Jeffrey loves problem solving and he won’t back down from a puzzling situation. His favorite project that he worked on was a massive airport remodel that took him four years but was super satisfying once completed.
In mid-January, Will Shrader, PLA, joined our Seattle office as a landscape architect. Will is the latest addition to Osborn’s UW alumni and is driven to make our schools and parks both safe and beautiful. On top of that, Will also enjoys playing ice hockey and building furniture.
Most recently, we welcomed Tony Huynh to our Bellevue office as our newest CADD technician, and Lara Estaris as a project coordinator in our Spokane office. Tony enjoys working with his hands. His hobbies include carpentry, building and modifying cars. He also road races at Pacific Raceways and The Ridge Motorsports Park. Lara has a passion for the community and is involved with outreach organizations focused on improving life for all who live there. She is also currently pursuing a degree in urban planning development at Eastern Washington University.
It is our hope that you take the time to personally get to know each of our new hires and here’s to another amazing year of growth!
