
Marley Moreno-Flores and Marina Figueroa-Rowen, students at the University of Washington, are the winners of the 2026 Osborn Consulting Scholarship. Both will receive $10,000 to support their education and future careers in fields that help shape stronger, healthier communities.
Administered in partnership with the Renton Regional Community Foundation, our scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, perseverance, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive impact through a career in landscape architecture or civil engineering.
Marley Moreno-Flores
Civil Engineering, University of Washington
Marley Moreno-Flores will begin her studies in civil engineering this fall. A first-generation student, Marley has balanced extraordinary academic and personal responsibilities while remaining focused on her long-term goal of improving communities through infrastructure. Throughout high school and college coursework, she maintained exceptional academic performance while working, volunteering, and pursuing leadership opportunities.
Inspired by the role infrastructure plays in everyday life, Marley hopes to use her education to help create safer, more accessible, and more resilient communities. Her determination, work ethic, and commitment to service made a lasting impression on this year’s scholarship selection committee.
Marina Figueroa-Rowen
Landscape Architecture, University of Washington
Marina Figueroa-Rowen is pursuing a graduate degree in landscape architecture at the University of Washington. Her academic and professional interests are centered on the intersection of infrastructure, environmental stewardship, public health, and community engagement. Through her work supporting ecological restoration, community programming, and inclusive design initiatives, Marina has demonstrated a deep commitment to creating public spaces that serve people and the environment alike.
Her resilience, leadership, and passion for equitable community-centered design distinguished her application and reflect the values that the scholarship seeks to support.
