2025 Year In Review

This year, Osborn Consulting was proud to partner with communities across Washington on projects to restore, renew, and reimagine the environments around us – from elementary schools and playgrounds to fish passageways and stormwater infrastructure. Read more about the projects we’re proud of this year below and check out our 2025 Map of Osborn to see the full breadth of our work across the state:

RESTORE
Reviving Ecosystems, One Stream at a Time

Across Washington, 2025 was a year of collaboration that culminated in the successful completion of multiple fish passage barrier removal and habitat restoration projects. Working alongside WSDOT through multiple design-build contracts, and with local agencies including Kenmore, King County, Seattle Public Utilities, and Maple Valley, we delivered critical habitat projects that reconnect waterways and strengthen ecosystems. Together with our clients, we celebrated the opening of more than 82,000 linear feet of habitat, including the installation of over 450 pieces of large woody material, and the completion of nearly 1.3 million square feet of riparian restoration area. From small neighborhood creeks to large rivers and streams crossing major highways, we are proud to have seen these important projects through construction (including night-time supervision work!) and play a role in protecting wildlife and ensuring healthy streams for generations to come.

RENEW
Building Resilience Beneath the Surface

This year, our work managing storm and sewer condition assessment efforts, repair and replacement programs, and water quality retrofit projects quietly transformed communities. We assessed more than 1,300 pipes, repaired or replaced 185 miles of aging infrastructure, and installed over 39,000 linear feet of new pipe, work that safeguards water quality, prevents costly failures, and strengthens the backbone of essential services. These improvements mean fewer disruptions and greater confidence for cities and residents alike. It’s infrastructure renewal that restores trust and reliability where it matters most.

REIMAGINE
Creating Spaces Where Learning Thrives

Education is the heart of community, and in 2025 we helped it beat stronger than ever. Through successfully constructed or soon-to-be constructed projects with Seattle Public Schools and Lake Washington School District, over 7,000 students will learn and play in new or revitalized classrooms, playgrounds, and community spaces designed to spark curiosity and connection. From inclusive play areas to vibrant outdoor learning environments, these projects show how thoughtful design can inspire the next generation and bring neighborhoods together in the process.

OSBORN’S MAP OF 2025
While our team was working hard to deliver all this important work, we also stayed true to our core values, including making time to build relationships and share some laughter and fun. From costume contests and river floats to summer picnics and baking competitions, our offices took time to celebrate and bond in ways big and small. Inspired by WSDOT’s “MS Paint Traffic Maps,” our team’s adventures and achievements are highlighted on our Map of 2025:

Serving our communities and strengthening public infrastructure is a true privilege — one made possible through the dedication of our clients, partners, and friends.

Each collaboration, each shared idea, and each milestone helped us bring creative and lasting water and land infrastructure solutions to life! We’re deeply grateful for your trust and partnership as we continue this meaningful work together.

Cheers to a New Year filled with growth, connection, and endless possibilities.
