This year marks the 55th annual National Public Works Week, as sponsored by the American Public Works Association. Governor Jay Inslee (of Washington State) has issued a proclamation addressing the vital importance of public works infrastructure, facilities, and services, saying, “I urge all people in our state to join me in honoring our public works professionals engineers, managers and employees, and recognizing the substantial contributions they have made to our national health, safety, welfare and quality of life,” (Gov. Jay Inslee, April 24, 2015).
The mayor of the City of Kenmore, David Baker, issued a similar proclamation for his city for National Public Works Week, in which he recognized “the design, survey, permitting, right of way acquisition, investigation, and construction management services provided by our consultants and service providers.” Baker listed Osborn Consulting Inc. as the first in a list of providers that have worked to improve Kenmore’s health, safety, comfort, and quality of life. OCI has been providing on-call services to the City of Kenmore since 2013, including updating the City’s Surface Water Master Plan and designing the award winning Northshore Summit Park.
We are honored to be recognized on this significant occasion by one of our highly valued clients and to have public works projects and efforts recognized across the state and the nation.
