District-wide Salmon Recovery Management Planning

Osborn Consulting partnered with the Pend Oreille Conservation District to improve water quality and riparian habitat for salmonids, as well as provide bank stabilization for local landowners for ten shovel ready projects. We used a combination of traditional bank stabilization techniques, such as rip rap, along with bio-engineered techniques such as large woody material (LWM), coir logs, coir matting, and native plants to stabilize the banks along the project areas for a total of approximately 9,500 LF of stabilization and just under ten acres of total restoration.

“We’ve been so impressed with the Osborn Consulting team. The Project Manager and her team completed ten shovel-ready bank stabilization/salmon recovery projects in four months’ time. We will gladly work with Osborn Consulting on future projects and recommend them highly to our partners.”
