2024 Year in Review

It was the biggest year yet for Osborn Consulting! We celebrated our 20th year, grew to more than 100 employees, opened our fifth office (in beautiful Vancouver, WA!), and delivered more projects in more regions than ever before.

From milestone moments to everyday achievements, collaborations, and shared laughs, our team took a moment to reflect on what made 2024 so special.

“My favorite this year was the Spokane Airport Craig Road Regional Sewer Capacity project. It was one of the first projects that I created and maintained in Civil 3D from start to finish, which felt like a great step in the right direction as a newer Civil Tech within Osborn Consulting.”

Michael Mecham, Civil Technician – Spokane

“My favorite project I worked on this year was the Silverdale Stormwater Park. The project feels special because I got to be part of the proposal and am now on the design team. Seeing the project move from proposal, to win, into preliminary design is especially rewarding and a wonderful career opportunity.”

Emily Saeger, Landscape Designer – Seattle

“My favorite project this year has been working on the King County CSO Planning work for the South Magnolia Basin, it is fun to work on a project in the city I live in!”

Jessica Christofferson, Senior Stormwater Planner – Bellevue

“Playing volleyball at the summer picnic with such a fun group of colleagues, watching all the young kids enjoy the goats and crafts at the holiday party, and floating the Spokane River.”

Tarelle Osborn, PE, President – Bellevue

“The recent holiday party is a big standout. Cold toes aside, it was an amazing venue, the food was delicious, and it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with my coworkers, some I hadn’t met before or seen in quite a while!”

Jill Schultz, Marketing Coordinator – Bellevue

“The Osborn Emerging Leaders Group’s chip flavor testing networking activity!”

Calvin Blackwell, EIT, Project Engineer – Bellevue

“So much! I have a deeper understanding of soils, playfields, construction administration, and working with public agencies. I’ve also discovered I’m a sucker for great office snacks! Ellenos yogurts, in particular.”

Kristin Kildall, PLA, Landscape Architect – Seattle

“The mantra ‘What got you here won’t get you there’ has been a nice way to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses while challenging myself to keep growing and learning.”

Laura Ruppert, PE, Vice-President – Bellevue

“Projects don’t always involve direct contact with the general public and one particular project this year has taught me that I enjoy interacting with and helping the public on a variety of levels.”

Diana Halladay, CESCL, Senior Project Biologist – Bellevue

“The Spokane Office music league has provided plenty of laughter to our year. Each week a new theme is presented to create a playlist to. There was a wide range of categories from ‘Songs to help you train for your first ultra-marathon with Will’ to ‘Songs to fight your archnemesis to in a Zips parking lot.’ We always look forward to Fridays when we can listen to the playlist from start to finish and vote on our favorite songs.”

Brendan Doohan, EIT, Project Engineer – Spokane

“Lots of giggles in the Halloween game between Seattle and Spokane.”

Stacey Lara, Project Coordinator – Seattle

“Seeing our interns put together their end-of-summer presentations was equal parts touching and hilarious, especially when a couple of them in the Bellevue office organized ‘The Office’-style mockumentary interviews with some of the staff, myself included!”

Wesley Riddle, Internal Communications Manager – Bellevue

“Taking the leap to start preparing for my PE Exam. I’m taking the next step in my career and working towards being a licensed professional.”

Ronnie Piechowski, EIT, Project Engineer – Spokane

“Completing my internship and becoming a Marketing Assistant!”

Pam Watson, Marketing Assistant – Bellevue

“Working on all the final hydraulic design reports for the Natural Resources group.”

Henry Moen, EIT, Project Engineer – Bellevue

“Learning how to use Defender XDR for ‘near real time’ threat detection.”

Cayden Kappes, IT Support Specialist – Bellevue

“Working with an amazing team!”

Jamaal Patterson, Civil Technician – Remote
