New Team Members in 2022

As we near OCI’s 18th anniversary, we reflect on the incredible accomplishments of our team and the continued partnership of our clients that has allowed us to grow from a firm of one to a firm of 70 talented, passionate, and creative individuals. This year, we have added nine new team members (so far), who expand our capabilities and bring new perspectives to our projects. If you haven’t already had the pleasure of working with OCI’s latest hires, take a moment to get to know them below!

Masako Lo, PE, has brought her talent and experience to OCI after serving over 20 years of her career at Seattle Public Utilities, where she was an integral part of the Green Infrastructure Program development. At OCI, Masako enjoys mentoring team members in stormwater design.

This month, Jason Neibergs, PE, joined our team and will be focused on supporting fish passage planning, modeling, and design projects. Jason is currently supporting Preliminary and Final Hydraulic Designs (PHD/FHDs) for fish passage projects in WSDOT’s Northwest Region and developing culvert replacement designs for Snohomish County.

Over in Spokane, Dawson Matthews, EIT, joined us earlier this year after working as an engineer at Spokane County. Dawson is working with the City of Spokane Valley to develop their new Stormwater Comprehensive Plan and will be supporting the design and hydraulic modeling for fish passage projects for Ferry County.

With Jason and Dawson now on the team, OCI is home to 11 Gonzaga grads (go Zags!).

Dawson, pictured far right, joins our growing group of Gonzaga alumni in the Spokane office (from left to right, Megan Ehlebracht, Kevin Flanagan, Ronnie Piechowski, and Dawson Matthews).

Calvin Blackwell, EIT, is the latest addition to our Transportation Drainage Practice, who brings a passion for stormwater engineering and experience in research sediment transport and streambank erosion. Most recently, Calvin was part of the OCI team designing over 40 stormwater BMPs and their maintenance manuals for WSDOT Olympic Region fish passage culverts project.

Joining our Civil Technicians team is Sakshi Gogia, who brings over a decade of experience with CAD and has quickly established herself as creative and collaborative team member supporting multiple projects, including work for the Transportation Drainage Practice.

Over on the administrative and marketing side, we are thrilled to have Diana Halvorson join our team as a Senior Project Accountant, Karen Wolfe as our new Technical Editor, Lauren Finnigan as Marketing Assistant, and Sanjeet Singh as our People Operations Coordinator.

Welcome to the team!
