On Saturday, June 23rd OCI employees participated in Seattle Works Day with Solid Ground, a local Seattle based non-profit organization working to end poverty and undo racism in our community. OCI employees worked at the organizations Marra Farms learning about how food is grown, food security and food justice.
OCI employees volunteered helping prepare soil and garden beds, plant vegetable starts and seeds, maintain crops, weed, compost, and helped with irrigation. If you’re interested in learning more about Solid Ground, you can find out here and for more information on Seattle Works day, click here.
