She is recognized as a leader and expert in stormwater system analysis and design. Her experience as a project manager spans a wide variety of projects, including hydraulic and hydrologic analysis required for stormwater mitigation, stormwater conveyance, outfall design, drainage design, detention systems, water quality treatment, and temporary/permanent erosion control design.
In addition, her technical experience encompasses stream habitat design, culvert design and placement, basin delineation, bridge replacement, design-build contracts, design of roadway expansion projects, and construction inspection.

Principal & Vice PresidentAs Vice President of Engineering and Senior Project Manager, Laura provides specialized hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, modeling, and design on Osborn Consulting projects. Laura’s professional engineering experience and background includes hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood reduction studies, stormwater management plans, small drainage projects and providing field direction during the placement of large woody debris. Her technical expertise also includes stormwater master planning, preparation of construction documents (PS&E), and capital improvement plan development. Laura is organized with a strong attention to detail.

Principal & Vice PresidentWith 22 years of work in civil engineering and project management, Robert’s extensive experience includes both local public sector and private sector projects. He has provided civil, utilities, grading and drainage designs for apartments, multifamily housing, condominiums, roads, utilities, retail, offices, university facilities and parks. In addition, Robert has designed many low-impact design systems including bio-retention/rain garden systems, porous pavement (pavers, concrete, asphalt, gravel, grass) and rain water cisterns.

Designing and delivering projects across Puget Sound, Laurie’s project experience ranges in size from small intersection improvements to multi-billion dollar mega projects. She excels at managing and organizing the day to day activities of complex projects and design teams, providing coordination, scope compliance, technical guidance, work planning, scheduling, and reporting.

Liz’s projects range in scale and style, with a focus on public urban spaces, public facilities, schools, university campuses, streetscapes, and forward-thinking urban development. She has experience in all project phases, with significant construction expertise. Working as a contributing member of a creative and effective team is important to Liz. Her clear communication and enthusiastic collaboration style show her dedication, positivity, and creative thinking.
Liz is also a Lecturer/Studio Instructor for the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington, teaching the Introduction to Landscape Architecture and Design Foundations studios.

With extensive modeling knowledge, he has developed and calibrated EPA-SWMM models for basins up to 10,000 acres and is proficient in a variety of other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling platforms. He enjoys challenging projects and has worked to maximize benefits for multiple stakeholders, including local municipalities, state and national agencies, and Native Tribes.

Practice LeadDeepa leads Osborn Consulting’s Transportation Drainage practice and brings experience focused on surface water engineering and modeling. Deepa has worked on several design build (WSDOT and Sound Transit) and local agency stormwater projects. Her main focus has been on transportation drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis, neighborhood drainage improvements, stormwater planning and design projects including project ranking and prioritization, temporary erosion and sediment control design, environmental compliance involving permit coordination, compliance regulation (NPDES and Sewer Discharge Permits), and field inspections. Deepa has excellent record of meeting client schedules and completing work with a high degree of accuracy and competence. She is currently the co-chair for the ASCE Seattle Section Water Resources Committee.

Principal Emerita, Landscape Architecture & Urban DesignKas has over 34 years of experience providing services in landscape architecture and environmental planning – with an emphasis on sustainable design and educational environments. Kas is the principal emerita of Osborn Consulting’s Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Group (formerly Cascade Design Collaborative, which joined Osborn Consulting in July 2019).
Kas brings her expertise to all scales of her work – from the interpretive signage at a school’s bioretention cell or for a street edge bioretention, to a campus wide master plan or a community park. She brings a commitment to contributing to the betterment of the public realm – from our stormwater systems to our educational environment. Kas has a genuine interest in gathering input from community members and helping public agencies and school districts navigate the complexities of resident’s wishes and public agencies’ budgets and missions.
Kas is known as an advocate for sustainable design and for Low Impact Development (LID) strategies. She has served on the technical advisory committee for the LID Technical Guidance Manuals by the Puget Sound Action Team (Version 1 and 2), led a session for the LID certification program, and has shared her “contractor tested” soil specifications freely with others in the interest of improving the success of these systems around the region. In the K-12 area, Kas has served on the State of Washington OSPI technical advisory committee for the past 15 years and participated in crafting the Washington State Sustainable School Protocol. She has also served on the board and as conference co-chair for the state’s Association for Learning Environments (A4LE).

Specializing in outdoor learning environments for schools and childcare facilities, she is passionate about providing opportunities for children to learn from nature and develop cognitive, social and problem-solving skills in the out of doors.
Her background in sculpture and fabrication give her a sound basis for creative designs with custom detailing. Clients include predominantly public schools and government agencies, pursuing LEED and WSSP certification. She has worked on diverse projects in Hawai’i and throughout the Pacific-Asia regions prior to moving and joining Osborn Consulting.
Throughout her career, Martina has contributed much of her efforts towards campus designs and master planning with involvement in all phases of the design and construction process. Her attention to detail, creative solutions to problems and understanding the perspectives of the design team, owners and contractors allows her to constructively collaborate throughout each of her projects.
With an architectural background in college, Martina found that her passion in design reached far beyond the walls of buildings and more towards spaces that complimented buildings. She is particularly interested in projects that push the envelope in creating spaces that enhance the built, natural, and cultural environments in which they are situated.

Forrest’s professional experience includes mixed use, military, education and commercial housing projects between the Puget Sound and Bend, Oregon. With 31-years of experience in the field and in the office, Forrest is inspired to create sustainable spaces to impact the users that experience them. Forrest has maintained a curious outlook on approaching his career, engaging stakeholders creatively to work through issues and resolve conflicts. His love of face-to-face interaction brings about project solutions through personal connection.
Forrest is interested in traditional and new technologies for irrigation water management, soil composition and how to improve it, and is a self-described compost cheerleader. He’s presented at the King County Solid Waste Organics Summit 2019, at the Cedar Grove Soils Summit in 2019, and participated in the Cedar Grove City Soils LA Seminars.

Senior Civil EngineerTom has 22 years of experience in hydraulic, hydrologic and drainage engineering. He has used a wide variety of hydraulic and hydrologic models for combined systems capacity analysis, urban stormwater infrastructure analysis, FEMA floodplain mapping, floodplain restoration, and fish passage analysis at culverts – among others. His technical expertise spans from conceptual design through alternatives analysis, final design, and preparation of construction documents (PS&E). His experience in H&H modeling for a variety of clients for a variety of projects, has led to numerous successful projects in the Puget Sound region.

She grew up in Iowa with a connection to the prairies and temperate deciduous forests but has grown passionate about the native landscapes of the western mountains, southwest deserts, and northwest forests. Her design work seeks to bring the awe of native landscapes to site design in the urban environment. She has a special focus on urban environments for children, spending time in research and design for children’s environmental learning, educational environments, and play spaces.
Lauren has participated and led a number of initiatives to improve outdoor environments for children as a volunteer for the ASLA Children’s Outdoor Environments PPN, as a contributing author for ASLA’s The Field blog, and as a volunteer designer for Green Schoolyards America’s National COVID-19 Outdoor Learning Initiative. As a 2nd grade teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada, she led a group of students and faculty to renovate a schoolyard into a colorful, sensory-enriched playground.

He has a thorough understanding of civil design using Civil3D and Microstation/Inroads, and geospatial mapping using AutoCAD Map. He actively applies new CAD and mapping procedures to utilize the full range of advances of CAD technology to maximize each application’s potential.
Throughout his career, Richard has been fortunate to be involved with current advances in technology, and is always open to new ideas and processes to aid in the ability to provide quality drafting, design, and mapping products to clients. His capabilities include coordination of multi-disciplinary teams on projects requiring land use entitlements and government agency approvals.
