Aging Infrastructure Project

Osborn Consulting led this project to replace aging and failing surface water utility infrastructure. The project, with five different system improvements, included three pipe replacement projects, one cured-in-place lining project, and one slipline project. Osborn used existing aerials, GIS information, utility locates, and site visit measurements/information to create the PS&E construction set. Originally, the project anticipated by the City was to provide CIPP and open-cut pipe replacement, but because one of the pipes previously identified for a CIPP repair would be very costly to line or open-cut repair, the team worked with a manufacturer to confirm a slip-line approach, which could be installed without lowering the upstream pond elevations.
