Ninth St Basin Water Quality Retrofit
Osborn Consulting delivered this Ecology-funded project for the City of Wenatchee beginning with alternatives analysis and continuing through final design and engineering plans. The project will provide water quality benefits to the Columbia River by treating stormwater runoff with cartridge filters to remove solids and metals and also address areas that experience significant ponded stormwater near Ninth Street, 7th and Ringold Streets, and the Wenatchee Valley Community College. We worked closely with the City and College to review alternatives and select a preferred BMP of StormFilter cartridges combined with a new storm drain system to route stormwater away from problem areas. The project includes 4,000 feet of new storm drain, StormFilter vaults, and roadway overlay, which will provide neighborhood improvements by addressing chronic drainage problems.
