John Lewis Memorial Bridge
Osborn Consulting developed the stormwater management design for the partially federally funded Northgate Pedestrian Bridge Project, which relied on close coordination with multiple stakeholders. In addition to the complex stakeholder coordination, the site itself is constricted within the right-of-way (ROW), with limited possible options for stormwater management. Our team developed an approach to managing stormwater on-site that worked within the surrounding conditions and provided dispersion where possible, reducing the amount of stormwater runoff and further helping to improve water quality in the basin. We prepared the full PS&E in addition to providing drainage design and a WSDOT Type A hydraulic report for BMPs and conveyance systems within the WSDOT ROW to meet code requirements in the WSDOT Highway Runoff Manual.
